Veneers are an increasingly common type of restorative, as well as cosmetic, dental treatment. Not only can veneers help with your tooth’s function, they can also boost the aesthetic qualities of one’s smile.
Veneers are created from thin pieces of porcelain that are custom-made to adhere to the outside of your natural teeth. Once the color, shape and size are matched to your existing teeth, the veneer is bonded to the outside of the affected tooth to fix any abnormalities, such as chipped teeth, crooked/misshapen teeth, discolored/stained teeth, teeth that are too small or too large, or spaces between teeth.
Veneers typically require two appointments as the veneers need to be created before they can be placed. During the first appointment, we will take impressions of your mouth in order to create the custom-fit veneer. In the second appointment, the veneer will then be bonded to the tooth.
If you are considering improving the look and function of your smile, we invite you to make an appointment to meet with Dr. Rosemond to discuss your options and decide together on the best next steps.
